How certification works

Five steps stand between an applicant and a listing. Each one is checked by the Board, not self-reported.

  1. Step 1: Apply

Advisors share their hockey background and agree to the code of conduct.

  2. Step 2: Study

Six narrated modules on pathways, NCAA compliance, ethics and working with families.

  3. Step 3: Pass the exam

Twenty questions drawn from all six modules. Eighty percent passes.

  4. Step 4: Clear a background check

Completed through an independent screening provider.

  5. Step 5: Get listed

A verified profile parents can look up, renewed every year.
